Welcome to the first edition of our new newsletter format! Although it isn’t as pretty, I hope it still gets you the information you need in an easily accessible way. On the plus side, we will now have an archive of the newsletters, so you can always go back and find something. Feedback on suggestions for improvements is welcome! There’s a bit of a learning curve to this tool, so I expect our newsletters will only get better moving forward. We’ll also be launching a new website around July 1.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer and is getting excited about the fun we have ahead for next year. There is some important information and dates in here, so please read this email carefully.
Field Trip Sign-up
Our first field trip of the year is August 28! This is a 2-hour tour of a working animatronics factory. It includes everything from CNC machining, servo motors, 3D Printing, clay work, costuming, etc.
When: August 28, 2026, 10:45 am- 1:00pm
Where: Garner Holt Productions, Redlands, CA
Cost: $20 per person (youth and adult)

Summer Experience
A few spaces are still available for our Summer Experience, Aug. 3-7. We’ll meet daily from 9am-12pm at SCREC for teamwork, leadership, and project samplers.

Adult Volunteer Information
Volunteer online training modules will open on July 1. ZSuite Volunteer Enrollment will open on July 14. All volunteers for Session 1 or Summer Experience must be done with training and ZSuite enrollment by July 30.
If you will be signing up as a new volunteer this year, Bri will offer a couple of dates to meet up and help you through the process. July 15 or July 18. Email [email protected] if you would like to attend one of these dates. You may also complete the volunteer process independently; this is just being offered so you have assistance when needed.
